Catalyst for Holistic Learning
Paranjyothi Foundation believes that holistic learning stimulates a comprehensive educational approach that integrates multiple dimensions of development—intellectual, emotional, social, physical and ethical. This prepares students not just academically, but also as well-rounded, capable, and compassionate individuals.
Why Paranjyothi Foundation?
Years of experience working with rural government schools have given us a deep understanding of their needs. We have identified key areas where they benefit from additional support to get a holistic education.
We provide them with an integrated curriculum by combining subjects and learning experiences that help students make connections between different areas of knowledge. Impetus is given to experiential learning with hands-on activities, such as experiments, field trips, and real-world problem-solving, to engage students actively. Emotional and Social Development through programs that include collaborative projects, peer teaching, and social-emotional learning promote teamwork, empathy, and communication skills.
We also emphasize on physical activity, by incorporating physical education like movement breaks, and mindfulness practices supports physical health and cognitive function. Ethical and Moral Education with discussions about values, ethics, and social responsibility help students develop a sense of moral integrity and social justice. We provide a supportive learning environment with access to diverse resources (books, technology, outdoor spaces) encouraging exploration and discovery.
Namma Halli Shaale - The Village School Project
Working with government schools highlighted the importance of early years learning. To bridge this gap and ensure children are fully prepared for grade school, we’ve made it our mission to create a preschool opportunity right here in the village and called it ‘Namma Halli Shaale – The Village School’, this also acts as a feeder school for the Government school.
