Redefining Education in a Rural Community

We are working tirelessly to revitalize a government school in rural Karnataka. Our efforts have seen student enrollment nearly double. To further improve the school environment, we have involved ourselves in the school infrastructures such as construction of playgrounds, labs, libraries and etc. These initiatives aim to create a well-rounded educational experience that attracts students and fosters a vibrant school community.

Breathes New Life into Rural Government Schools in Karnataka

Academic Programs Driven by Paranjyothi Foundation

With just 54 students, Government School in Honnayakanahalli was at risk of closing its doors. However, our efforts led to a surge in enrolment, bringing the student body to almost 100 in a single year.

Provided a transformative teacher training program teaming up with "Pratham", designed to equip educators with the skills and knowledge to unlock student potential.

Our first year was a resounding success! Students participated in the "Prathibha Karanji" competition for the very first time, advancing all the way to the district level.

We shifted the school's curriculum to introduce English language learning as early as grade 1, previously offered only after grade 5.

Improved Infrastructure for a Better Learning

We’re transforming the learning environment! By investing in infrastructure upgrades, we’ve created a more stimulating and supportive space for students.

In collaboration with the Rotary Club Bangalore Southwest, a new science lab was created for the Government School, Adi Honnayakanahalli

Catering to the curious minds of our primary school students, a new library has been opened in one of our trust buildings located directly across from the school.

The Government School Kunanakoppalu expanded its capacity with the construction of 3 new classrooms & improved sanitation with the addition of restrooms

To enhance learning experiences, a well-equipped audio-visual room has been established for the school's flexible use.

A new stage and sports ground were built next to the school, creating a shared space for school events like annual day and sports day, as well as community gatherings.

Recently constructed a sheltered corridor in front of the classrooms. This protects students from the harsh afternoon sun and dust as they eat their lunch.

The new building will be more than just bricks and mortar; it will be a sanctuary for learning and growth. This space will include:

Four Classrooms: Bright, spacious rooms where young minds can explore, discover, and grow.
AV Room: A modern facility where children can engage with audio-visual learning tools, bringing their education to life.
Library: A treasure trove of books and resources to foster a love for reading and learning.
Toilets: Clean, safe facilities that promote health and well-being.
Play Area: A joyful space where children can play, learn social skills, and develop their physical abilities.
Other Essential Facilities: Designed to create an environment that supports holistic development.
